What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

The Broker - What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is the thing this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into your assessment.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you commit.
